Crowe Isle of Man managing director Phaedra Bird has been appointed CEO.
The appointment comes ahead of the retirement in June 2020 of chairman and CEO John Cowan who, in January 2019, celebrated 30 years as a Crowe Isle of Man partner.
Phaedra, who joined the firm in 1998, said of her new role: ‘I am proud – and not a little humbled – to be following in the footsteps of John, who has done so much to grow the business over more than 30 years. It is thanks to John’s drive, vision and leadership that Crowe has become recognised as a leading trusted name in accounting and fiduciary services.
‘I am grateful to John for his friendship and wise counsel over many years and, with the support of my colleagues, I will work to carry on his legacy by continuing to develop the business and deliver the consistently high quality of service that distinguishes the Crowe brand.’
